Miriana is more confident and independent

I am writing to express my gratitude to your staff and your company for the help and support we have received with Miriana. We came to SoundSkills through a suggestion from our psychologist at Marinoto which was backed up by a Pro Ed report. Miriana is also seeing a tutor privately and it was thought that having an FM system may additionally help her in the classroom.

Our experience with Sound Skills has been incredibly professional, efficient and well managed. From our first appointment when everything was explained in an easy to understand manner for both Miriana and I, we felt at ease with the process. The school visits and reporting process were comprehensive and completed in a non intrusive manner which made it easier for Miriana, her teacher and the school.

Miriana's [FM] trial has been a complete success with improved confidence and independence in the classroom. She is able to understand instructions more clearly and is participating in group discussion more effectively. Miriana is able to manage the FM system on her own (easy to use) and has no negative reaction from her peers by wearing the FM  - she loved the choice of colours and chose bright red!

We now hope that ... funding [will be approved] to complete the purchase of the FM system and look forward to a happier, brighter future for Miriana!

Kind Regards,

Signed - parents of Miriana

'Huge' progress with reading and writing

My 7 year old son  went to Sound Skills with a suspected auditory processing order. He has had weekly sessions for phonological awareness and general listening skills for almost 18 months and has now finished his therapy.

During that time he has made huge progress with his reading and concentration and scored above average in many areas in his recent literacy testing.

The therapists at Sound Skills have been very professional but also very friendly and skilled at encouraging him when he was reluctant to participate.

Thanks for all your help

Signed - Anita S.

School results are improving due to therapy

SoundSkills have been involved with our son’s audio processing disorder since February 2010.  Their staff have been very professional and diligent, and due to their assistance, his performance at school appears to be improving.  SoundSkills have been very generous with a lengthy trial period and advice for the audio device which we now lease and we believe helping our boy is SoundSkill’s highest priority.

Kind regards,

Graham & Deanna B.
